Lloyd International Translations embraces turnpage technology

Historically, Lloyd International Translations (LIT) had always included PDF attachments both on its website and in electronic correspondence. LIT was keen to move away from PDF attachments for a number of reasons, primarily the fact that the text contained in PDFs is not indexed by search engines.

With the launch of our new multilingual website (English, French and German) LIT will be launching digital versions of its marketing materials.

With a simple click, thumbnails on our website will open up a fully digital version of the document. By fully digital we are not referring to a static copy on-line, but a copy which is emailable, page turning, searchable, can be zoomed into, printable and clear. A reader can send a single page or an entire document to a colleague, instantly.

Manufacturers, for example, who want to demonstrate their products may wish to add filmed material (moving visuals) to turnpage documents, to amplify their words in pictures, having a greater impact on their readers.

LIT hopes that the introduction of turnpage documents will not only enhance reader experience, but increase the number of new enquiries generated from search engines.

We believe that such technologies will never fully replace printed versions; however, we recognise that digital editions provide a wealth of opportunities for certain types of documentation.
