the team
Lloyd International Ltd was founded in 1989 by Mike
and Diane Lloyd. As a Chartered Engineer and Marketing and Sales
Executive for global engineering companies back in the 1980s, Mike
was keenly aware of the challenges involved in producing specialist
technical documentation and the difficulties associated with securing
high quality, reliable and competitive technical translation.
Since our early days in 1989, we have nurtured and developed expertise
in many major industry
sectors. At the same time, we have expanded our network of translator
partners around the world, each with his or her own area of specialisation.
These partnerships enable us to offer all major languages
and language combinations using in-country translators.
The emphasis at Lloyd International is on skilled project
management to achieve top quality translations, on-time and
within budget.
Our in-house team today comprises project managers, proofreaders,
engineers and desktop publishing specialists.
In 2001, Lloyd International gained BSI
ISO 9001:2000 accreditation along with Investors in People status.
Meet the Management Team

Jill Fifoot: Sales and
Marketing Director. Jill joined Lloyd International in 2000.
She has over 20 years' experience in International Sales and
Marketing, and
speaks fluent German and French. Her role is to focus on building
strong customer relationships and developing new business opportunities. |

Paul Renehan: Managing Director. Paul
joined Lloyd International in 2006 following a successful career in senior management roles at several well known localization companies. Paul holds a Master of Science (TCD) in manufacturing engineering from Trinity College, Dublin. |

Mike Lloyd: Chairman of Lloyd International,
Mike is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institute of
Electrical Engineers. His career has embraced computer design
and industrial controls engineering, as well as marketing.
Having worked for Swiss and French electrical engineering companies
Mike speaks fluent French and German. |

Diane Lloyd: Financial Director -
Diane is responsible for
financial aspects of
the business. She is qualified in industrial design and accountancy
and
speaks fluent French.

Sarah Jessop: Vendor Manager -
Sarah is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with all vendors. With 7 years' experience in the IT & Procurement sector, Sarah was a driving force behind the development of LIT's Vendor Gateway and online application systems. Having been brought up in the French education system, Sarah is naturally fluent in French, and has dabbled in Spanish and Russian too.
