MP visits Lloyd International Translations
MP Stephen O’Brien visited Lloyd International Translations (LIT) on the 16th October, to join them in celebrating 20 years in business.
During his visit Mr O’Brien met Mike & Diane Lloyd as well as many key members of the team.
Commenting on his visit, Stephen O’Brien said: “My congratulations to Mike and Diane Lloyd, and everyone at Lloyd International Translations on this special occasion to celebrate their first 20 years in business.
Lloyd International Translations is a local success story. From small beginnings Mike and Diane – the founding directors - have grown the business into a first class technical translation company, which now employs over 30 people in the UK and France.
Lloyd International Translations has a bright future as demand for their specialist service continues to grow.
A shortage of linguists in the UK highlights why a career in translating continues to be a good career choice and highlights why the teaching of languages in our schools must not be overlooked.
I have every confidence that Lloyd International Translations has a bright future and will continue to go from strength to strength. I wish Mike and Diane Lloyd and all their team every success for the future.”
Mike Lloyd, Chairman and CEO of Lloyd International Translations added: “Solving the translator shortage is no easy or quick task. Lloyd International Translations plays its part to reduce the skill shortage, by working hand-in-hand with local universities, offering work experience opportunities to our language degree students.”
