What's on in 2010 for LIT
Leading UK Technical Translation Company looks to grow 30%
Following on from the success of 2009, Lloyd International Translations (LIT) has committed to a 30% sales growth in 2010 which is supported by a global strategy. After raising its year-on-year sales by 11% in 2009, the company is looking to achieve this increased growth figure for 2010 through a number of activities:
• By continuing to deliver high quality translation services. LIT is committed to maintaining the highest standards of translation and localization services delivered to existing and new clients
• By expanding geographically. LIT is extending its operations by opening a sales office in Germany - last year LIT established a sales office in France
• By targeting key growth areas – in core vertical industries and growing specifically in software localization
LIT will also be attending several key exhibitions this year including BAUMA (Munich, April), STC France (Paris, April) IPEX (Birmingham NEC, May) and SPS/IPC/Drives (Germany, November). LIT will also participate at TCUK (Thame, September) which is hosted by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators (ISTC).
This year, LIT is continuing to establish and develop long-term partnerships with key professional bodies in the translation industry. LIT works regularly with industry bodies such as GALA (Globalization and Localization Association) and is an established member of ATC (Association of Translation Companies). The company is also looking to take part in more events with academic organisations to help develop and educate future translators and linguists entering the profession.
As part of the company’s ongoing investment in technology and translation automation, LIT will continue to implement user-friendly technology to help clients manage costs, reduce translation times and improve quality. LIT is working with SDL Multiterm Server to provide online glossaries for clients and continues to research and invest in Translation Memory (TM) tools to increase client benefits.
