Lloyd International Translations launches an Ektron CMS Website

Lloyd International Translations’ previous website was a static site, built in HTML. HTML sites are notoriously difficult to grow, easily refresh content and manage multiple languages. A decision was therefore taken to invest in a new, multilingual, more engaging website that would be far easier for Lloyd International Translations (LIT) to manage in-house.

Having employed a design house to create graphics for the new site, LIT searched the marketplace to find a suitable Content Management System with multilingual capabilities. The chosen system needed to be cost-effective, integrate with our translation tools and ultimately be easy to use and manage multiple languages.

The website Content Management selection process involved a detailed remit, presentations and export/import integration checks, before LIT decided that Ektron offered the right solution.

This month LIT sees our new multilingual website (English, French and German) go live. We look forward to utilising the Ektron system to manage our site and ultimately plan to increase to 5-6 languages.

The days of a single technical person manually editing content per site/language are over. Ektron offers LIT a scalable content publishing system which will grow with our needs. From now onwards our site will no longer be static; we can change and update sections on a regular basis.

Looking ahead, the architecture and structure of the Ektron system also allows LIT to add features such as flash, audio and video to our site, making it a more interactive user experience.
